The controls he set were not very similar to the controls people might be used to, so I updated them to more standard controls that should work across all of the games in MCC. Jibb Smart provided a configuration file for Halo: Reach, and I based my configurations on that. All of the inputs of the controller are treated as mouse and keyboard inputs, so there are no issues with switching between the two. JoyShockMapper is a program made by Jibb Smart, the creator of Flick Stick. ![]() Although some games can switch between these no problem, MCC does not handle it well. This seems to be due to the fact that Steam treats button inputs as controller inputs, but the gyro as a mouse. Steam implemented Flick Stick as a feature recently, but unfortunately it does not work very well with MCC. I figured I would try to find out how to get it working and ended up making some configuration files that can be easily used. I have been checking every so often for solutions, but not much came up when I searched. Since Halo 3 came out on PC, I have been wanting to try using Flick Stick with it. Here is a video of it being used with Halo: Reach. The video below gives a good demonstration and explanation. The right stick can be “flicked” in order to instantly change the direction the player is facing, and gyro is used for more precise aiming and smaller movements. Flick Stick is a gyro aiming control method.
